Transitional Kindergarten (Lion Alpha)

Transitional Kindergarten Focus

Our program is an interactive, research-based curriculum that emphasizes hands-on, minds-on learning. Concepts introduced earlier become clearer through continued hands-on experiences and repeated opportunities to practice and explore. Children's language and math skills grow, paving the way for early reading and proficient writing. Math concepts, such as basic addition and subtraction, are also emphasized to prepare them for kindergarten. Through active learning and supportive guidance, pre-kindergartners build confidence, engage their whole bodies in learning, and flourish in a predictable, stable classroom environment that encourages independence and fosters a love for lifelong learning.

TK-School Age Learning Format

TK and School Age is a very sensitive time, this is when we want to get children excited for learning and feeling confident in their ability to learn, but….

Learning is not the only thing they are trying to do at this age, they are trying to adapt to a new school environment, make new friends, learn the rules and regulations of the school, and learning social norms.

During this time, if we build the educational confidence in a child where TK, Kindergarten, and even first grade curriculum come easily to them, they will feel more confident and be excited about learning instead of disliking school.

Our focus at this time is to be educational and social-emotional guides, to help the children confidently navigate the first few years of school, so they can confidently start their educational career.
